If this is the case, then the Goddesses in turn created the Fierce Deity, as a hero to counter the being known as Majora. This was done so that Majora was a sort of.opposite of the Goddesses, basically the tribe saying, "THIS is our Goddess now, you hold no power." Majora also makes higher-pitched feminine sounds when struck by Link's attacks. It bears markings resembling a female's internal reproductive organs, as well as what were once the mask's eyes now resembling breasts. In the form of Majora's Wrath, Majora appears feminine. Possibly, the being was created using the souls of fallen members of the tribe, Ikana is the land of the undead, after all. If the ancients created it, it was likely forged through the same or similar hexing rituals the mask was used for. It is my belief that, in order to win this war, either the tribe or the Goddesses created the being known as Majora. ![]() The members of the tribe, who were constructing the tower, then chose to counteract this by building the tower and temple in such a way that even when flipped, those on the tower or within the temple would be saved. This is reenforced by the fact that certain enemies in the temple must be slain via the light arrows, as though they're being struck down by the Gods. This is evidenced by the fact that the Light Arrows, whose light is supposedly the power of the Gods, flips the tower when it strikes the red jewels. They went so far as to flip the tower, so that those who climbed it hoping to reach Heaven, would instead be cast into the Underworld. This something is most likely not Twinmold, as it is implied that Twinmold is a creation of Majora (we'll get to her in a moment).Īnyways, the Goddesses clearly didn't take very kindly to this. I believe that the ancient tribe created this mask in order to fight against something powerful enough. How would such a war be fought? Why, with the Giant's Mask. Whoever constructed the tower very clearly had renounced or rejected the Goddesses, possibly declaring war. the temple that sits atop the tower also raises a finger towards the heavens, a finger where the tip is ablaze, as a sign of rejection. This symbolism is highly disrespectful, and would easily upset the Goddesses. on the bare buttocks of the statue, whose tongue censors its crotch. The architecture of the tower as well as the Ikana quadrant of Termina Field depicts the Triforce in some very.provactive and insulting positions, i.e. This tower ascends unto the heavens, and can be seen from almost anywhere in Termina. They grew arrogant and decided to reject the Goddesses, so much as possibly trying to declare war against them. Eventually, however, they became more powerful. I believe that this tribe once worshipped the Golden Goddesses, much like the Hylians. It is my belief that the ancient tribe that used Majora's Mask in it's rituals was, in fact, the people who inhabited the ancient land of Ikana, prior to the Kingdom being founded and eventually ruled by Igos due Ikana, and prior to the war with the Garo. This is easily my favorite area in this, and possibly any game. Moving on to the ancient tribe and Kingdom of Ikana. I can explain why this is in a bit, just bear with me. Ultimately, this implies that Terminians are much more reliant on technology over Hylians, and somewhat less dependent on magic. There also appears to be less magic found commonplace in Termina, as evidenced by the Ice Arrows being a dungeon item, as opposed to Hyrule, where they would be given to the player upon completion of the Gerudo training grounds, meaning the Gerudo have enough of them to justify giving them away. ![]() It's very clear that Termina is much more technologically advanced than Hyrule, as demonstrated by the plans for space travel found in the bomb shop, the presence of cameras (which are at least common enough at this point to not only justify a pictograph contest, but are also common enough that the people running the contest are willing to just give them away to contestants), and the entirety of Great Bay Temple's piping system. Firstly, let's compare Termina to Hyrule. And that history is what I'll be speculating about today. ![]() Termina is a world parallel to Hyrule created by the Golden Goddesses, but is drastically different in many ways, including its landscape and history. Supposedly, the world of Termina was recently ret-conned into being a dream world or something, but that's admittedly kinda stupid and faces some inconsistencies both within the game and manual, as well as inconsistencies regarding interviews with the people who made the game, so I will disregard it. I'm just gonna copy paste from my original post. I've already posted this elsewhere on the site, but I wanted to show you, see what you thought of it.
